Habaděj, kresby, 2002–2003

První série kreseb barevnými tužkami je prodchnuta Stratilovým úsilím o syntézu dosavadních kreslířských zkušeností a snaha o důsledný rozptyl výtvarného výrazu. Na základě lyrické, poetické matrice vytvořil možné vztahy pohádkové ilustrace, dětského kreslení a moderního umění (kubismu, dekorativně laděné poválečné abstrakce). S cyklem Habaděj se otevřela nová etapa Stratilovy práce, jež zprostředkovává pocit výtvarné svobody, význam fantazie a emocionální komunikace s uměleckým dílem.

Habadej (Aplenty), paintings, 2002–2003

The first color pencil drawing series signifies Stratil's endeavor for synthesis of his existing drawing experience, and effort to disperse rigidly his artistic expression. Based on a lyrical, poetic matrix he created possible relations of fairy-tale illustration, child drawing, and modern art (cubism, decoratively oriented postwar abstraction). With the Habadej cycle a new period of Stratil's work opened, which mediates the feeling of artistic freedom, the significance of fantasy and emotional communication with the work of art.
